All members of Belgium's Waves Of Decay live and breathe metal in all its forms and styles. On their first EP 'Cycloptic' the band blends the bits and parts they like in all of metal subgenres: the heavyness of death metal, the melodies and the catchiness of heavy metal and the rhythms and electronics of industrial metal. Add to that some addictive grooves and crushing breakdowns, and it's clear that Waves Of Decay has already established its own sound.
Waves Of Decay hails from Westmalle and was formed in December 2016 - January 2017 out of the ashes of several other local bands. We finetuned some songs we had written in the past and wrote two new songs. In January 2017 we went to the Breeze Inc. Studios to record five songs, resulting in our first EP 'Cycloptic'. Up-and-coming sound engineer Bob Briessinck recorded and mixed the EP, and Daan from the band Bloodrocuted provided some nice additional harsh vocals on the tracks 'As I Walk' and 'The Hurricane'. 'Cycloptic' is set to be released on the 15th of April 2017 in our hometown Westmalle. We are very satisfied with the result and have already received some favorable reviews.
